The atmosphere around Baker High School's football programme has been electric since the conclusion of the first Clarendon Elite Cup, with players and staff still buzzing from the experience of competing in the parish's newest and most prestigious school football tournament.
Baker High acquitted themselves well throughout the competition, drawing praise from observers for their organised play and the commitment shown by their squad across a demanding schedule of matches.
Speaking after the final, team captain expressed pride in the group's performance. "We gave everything we had in every game. The standard in this tournament was really high and it pushed us to be better."
For the coaching staff, the inaugural Elite Cup was about much more than results. The competition provided invaluable match experience against top opposition and gave younger squad members their first taste of high-pressure football in front of sizeable crowds.
