After a hugely successful inaugural edition, the Clarendon Elite Sports Program is brimming with excitement as preparations ramp up for the 2026 Clarendon Elite Cup.

The Clarendon Elite Sports Program is looking ahead to the second edition of the Clarendon Elite Cup with considerable excitement after the success of the inaugural tournament in 2025.

Organisers say the response from schools, players, parents, and the wider community exceeded all expectations and they are now fully focused on making the 2026 edition even bigger and better.

"The first year was beyond what we imagined," said a senior figure at the Clarendon Elite Sports Program. "The quality of football was incredible and the community came out to support it in a way that was really moving. Now we want to build on that."

Plans for the sophomore edition include an expanded fixture schedule, improved matchday facilities, and increased media coverage so that fans across Jamaica can follow the action. Organisers are also in discussions with additional sponsors to help grow the prize pool and support offered to participating schools.

Eight schools are confirmed for the 2026 competition, with the same format as the first year set to be retained. Coaches and players have been in pre-season training for weeks, eager to improve on their 2025 performances.

Donation support from the public has been highlighted as crucial to the tournament's continued existence. "This is a charity-run event and every donation makes a direct difference," organisers noted. "We are grateful to everyone who has supported us so far and we invite more people to get involved."
